The primary industrial types of iron bearing minerals include oxides and hydroxides and, to a lesser extent, carbonates:ite , hematite , goethite , limonite and siderite .The genesis of iron ore deposits is variable, similar to numerous other ore types.
Concept and Feasibility We develop tailored solutions for beneficiating iron ore to extractite, hematite and goethite. Starting with metallurgical testing, we test samples as small as 100 grams for characterisation through to larger samples up to 2,000 kg.
The REFLUX Classifier offers significant potential in the wet beneficiation of fine iron ore covering a wide range of nominal particle sizes, from 6.3 mm down to 1.0 mm, 1.0 mm to 0.1 mm, and 0.1 mm to 0 mm.
The results of this study demonstrated that low grade iron ore fines can be upgraded by means of STET tribo electrostatic belt separator. Based on STET experience, the product recovery and/or grade will significantly improve at pilot scale processing,pared to the bench scale test device utilized during these iron ore trials.
